Basic Download and Nikon Coolpix S60 Installation instructions for Windows and Macintosh:

1. Click the download link below for your computer type.
2. Save the file to your desktop for easy location after the download completes.
3. Windows: Create a new folder with an appropriate name on your computer’s hard drive. Download to the new folder, and run F-S60-V11W.exe to create the F-S60-V11W folder.
4. Macintosh: Download then doubleclick the F-S60-V11M.dmg to mount the disk image titled F-S60-V11M.
5. Both download files contain the same S60Update folder and contain the following files:
6. -firmware: folder containing the firmware, -firmware.bin: the firmware (located inside the firmware folder).
7. Use a card reader or similar device to copy the entire firmware folder to the root folder on a formatted memory card.
8. Insert the memory card containing the firmware folder in the memory card slot and turn on the camera. Highlight Firmware version in the setup menu, and follow instructions displayed to upgrade the camera’s firmware.
9. When Done is displayed in the camera monitor, follow instructions and turn the camera off. Eject the SD memory card.
10. Access the Firmware version item in the setup menu to confirm that the camera’s firmware has been upgraded.
